Sector 102 - Mutie Karess “The Twisted”
Karess is a mutant Lieutenant and one of the nine self-proclaimed Warlords of Benedict, the infamous floating city drifting across the irradiated Black Atlantic. His weapon of choice is his custom-built jet bike, an ominous and hulking machine he calls the "Death Machine." It screams across the ocean waves, leaving destruction in its wake—a fitting extension of the man himself.
Karess is far from a benevolent leader. His green, swampy skin is riddled with warts, lumps, and other grotesque deformities, the cruel legacy of prolonged radiation exposure from living in the lower decks of Benedict as a child—a place where the radiation seeps in strongest—twisting both his body and his soul.
He lost his left eye during his youth, a brutal reminder of the savage life beneath the city. In Mega-City One, Karess may have been a tall, muscular figure; instead, pollution and radiation have warped him into something monstrous. His proud frame is now bent and misshapen, his body reflecting the bitterness festering inside him.
That bitterness drives his hatred for the "norms"—the unmutated humans who dwell in Mega-City One. To Karess, they are soft, privileged parasites who deserve nothing but ruin. Any chance to raid Sector 102 or any other "norm" settlement is a chance Karess eagerly seizes, leading his mutant raiders with unrelenting fury.
Despite his deformities and cruel nature, Karess commands respect—or at least fear—among his fellow mutants. His cunning tactics and savage charisma keep his position as one of the Warlords secure, but he knows the floating city is treacherous. Loyalty is rare, and power is fleeting.
