Comic Review // Green Lantern An Origin Story
When letting your kids pick the titles, you have to expect some easy readers. Not that I mind. It is nice to go over some essential stories. For example, today’s reading is an origin story: this time, that of the Green Lantern. I've always enjoyed this character - even the movie (don’t hate me)! In the classic debate of Hal Jordan vs. John Stewart, I prefer John Stewart, but because I am a massive Justice League cartoon fan, it isn't very objective. I am excited to read this to my son and hopefully get him into the Corp.

Review
This is a very good origin tale retelling. We learn how Hal gets the ring and how it got to Earth to begin with. Unsurprisingly the tale is written in a very child-friendly manner, making reading a joy. The pictures are bold and colourful and remind me of those Justice League days of my youth. I must find the DVD and show them to my son.
It brought joy to my kid, which is the whole purpose, and luckily, it comes with a glossary of terms, as well as trivia questions to engage the child. Overall a great book for a growing Superhero fan. I recommend getting it from the local library as it is short, but if you are a collector please use the link above. As always I truly appreciate you stopping by to read my rambles and see you again soon.
