IMPERIUM MAGAZINE

COLLECTING WARHAMMER 40,000, THE GUIDE

Imperium Magazine.

Games Workshop teamed up with Hattche Paperworks to produce a monthly magazine collection to guide newcomers to the 9th Edition. As with many things, it took about a year to finally reach Canada. I used this as the catalyst to restart my adventures into 40k and wanted to record it as a series for my YouTube channel. Unfortunately, Games Workshop stopped the Warhammer 40k 9th edition halfway through the subscription and changed it to the new 10th edition rules. Meaning 50% of the magazine became useless overnight. Luckily the cover price makes it worth it as every magazine offers a saving on the miniatures/paints/terrain. So I am continuing the adventure to the bitter end and hope you find some value in my run of videos.

Thanks for watching!

Cheers - Peps

Imperium Magazines Issues 1 to 3. Beginning something new. These magazines are old news, but I knew I had to jump on with them finally releasing in North America.

This first episode is about what I got and my plans for the series. My goals are simple.

Issue Two Escape Route. We see my Executioners Space Marine Lieutenant squaring off against three freshly awakened Necron Warriors of the Novokh Dynasty, all set within War Zone Damasus.

Will the Lieutenant be able to stop the Necrons from escaping, or will the Necron Warriors reactivate the systems that will awaken the Destroyers of this tomb complex deep under the moon of Megaria? Watch now to find out.

Imperium Magazine 1 Battle Report - First Contact

Kicking this off is Issue One First Contact! We are using my freshly painted Executioners Space Marine Lieutenant squaring off against a Royal Warden of the Novokh Dynasty, all set within War Zone Damasus.

Imperium Magazine 3 - Review & Battle Report - Hold Them Back

Issue Three Hold Them Back. We see my Executioners Assault Space Marines squaring off against three awakened Necron Warriors of the Novokh Dynasty, all set within War Zone Damasus.

Will the Assault Marines be able to stop the Necrons from deactivating the beacon, or will the Necron Warriors score their third win? Watch now to find out.

Imperium Magazine Issue 7 - Necron Resurgence

Imperium Magazine Issue 7 - was, for me, the dullest issue to date. Coming with three pots of paint and no figures. I also found the content of the lore to be rather dull to, with it consisting of a simple name generator and a bit about the warp rift. Most of the magazine is filled with the painting guide which I am not using.

Imperium Magazine Issue 8 - The Overlord Rises

Imperium Magazine Issue 8 was an incredible value-for-money piece for me. It comes with a CAD 36 Necron Overlord and 6 dice for the CAD 14 cover price. Great saving. Inside, we are introduced to the model and given a build and paint guide.

Imperium Magazine Issue 11 - The Psychic Assault- Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 11 - Contains our first Psychic Character the Space Marine Librarian in Phobos Armour. Designed to be a scout-style character, this is a unique character and interesting addition to the army. For the Battle Report, the librarian faces off against the Royal warden and 3 bases of Necron Scrabs. Will our newest character win the day or can the Necrons crush the upstart Marine. Currently, the series is 8-2 to the Necrons, so the Marines need to start getting more wins.

Imperium Magazine Issue 10 - The Legion Assembles - Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 10 - is the second of the two-parter as we build an entire Necron ten warrior squad. I now have enough to play this week's battle report with these five warriors, made with the Gauss Reaper guns. 10 Necron Warriors vs the might of 3 Assault Marines! Will the Marines win, or can the Necrons get another win? The series is 7-2 to the Necrons, so the Marines need to start getting more wins.

Imperium Magazine Issue 9 - Duel in the Depths - Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 9 - is a two-parter as we get to build a full Necron ten-warrior squad. With the first five warriors getting built with Guassflayers. Without a full squad, we instead get an HQ vs HQ battle report! Will the Marines win or can the Necrons get another win? Currently, the series is 7-1 to the Necrons so the Marines really need the win.

Imperium Magazine Issue 12 - Defending the Crypt - Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 12 - Contains three pots of paints (super exciting). And an HQ vs HQ face-off Will the Primaris Captain be able to take down the Necron Overlord? Currently, the series is 8-3 to the Necrons, but the Marines are currently on roll. Can they keep it up?

Imperium Magazine Issue 16 - Destroy the Warden - Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 16 - Comes the second half of the assault intercessors and sees an eight-man squad of marines take on ten Necron warriors and the Warden. Who will win? The series is 12-5 to the Necrons, and with the marines outnumbered, can they finally take out the warden?

Imperium Magazine Issue 17 - Secure the Dropsite - Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 17 - The second of three containers/crates/barrels are included, and for the Battle Report, we have an eight-Necron squad, and five Flayed Ones take on a lone Librarian. Imperium Magazine Issue 19 - War in the Factorum - Review & Battle Report

Imperium Magazine Issue 19 - Includes the third and final Crate/barrel terrain set. Which completes issue 1-20 moon map and has us fighting not one but three battles for the Factorum. Using the rules provided we have created the Fabricus Munitoria which specializes in producing Laser Focusing Crystals.
