The Volgan Empire dominated Europe in the early 21st century with conventional forces of planes, guns and tanks. When they were driven back by armies of early war droids produced by the West, the Volgans responded quickly with their advanced designs. Volgan war robots often appeared crude but proved dangerous and durable on the battlefield.

Volkhan was named after the legendary Russian Warrior-wizard Volkh, who was transformed into a man of steel. Volkhan is more than just a sentient machine - he was created to rival Deadlock’s Knights Martial and can call upon the power of Perun and Chernobog and spells from the Bellum Gothikum.
